Yes i know I haven't got a Monster, but hopefully you won't mind me sharing my experiences of fitting new bits to my bike with you. They are bits that fit Monsters as well.

I picked up some new bits for my bike at the weekend. There are some grips to come, but they weren't in stock in Italy when I placed my order.

The items are Tomok mirrors and their mounting brackets, CT415B fluid reservoir brackets and MA516B bar end caps.

The mirrors went on perfectly and look lovely. Pics to follow, it was too dark on Sunday night when I finished swearing to take pictures.

The bar end caps have a small issue. The M6 conical nut that squashes the rubber bit that holds the bar end in place had no thread. Maybe it's an M8 blank. The nut slides right over the end of the bolt. Rizoma have apologised and will send me some M6 conical nuts, or Pro Twins will find some in their store cupboard, or I've just realised that I might have one or two somewhere.

I need the CT415B fluid reservoir brackets because I have angled the clutch and brake levers down quite a bit so that my wrist is at a relaxed angle when using them. This means that the reservoirs are at a bit of an angle and I think they ought to be a bit more horizontal. The CT415 allows me to position the reservoirs exactly how I want them. Unfortunately they need an M6x10 bolt to hold them in place. This is the same as the original bolt that holds the reservoir bracket, but I don't have that because the bike has Rizoma CT450B brackets fitted which use an M6x25 bolt which is longer. So Moto Rapido will be supplying me with some official Ducati M6x10 reservoir bracket bolts.

I did successfully fit a Philips X-TremeVision H4 bulb to the bike as well, which made me feel better.

Indeed. I didn't choose the cheapest Rizoma grips either. I went for their new Urlo grips because I fancied a change from the Sport grips that I had on the last two bikes.

I'm not overly pleased about the issues I've had considering the cost of the parts. The conical nut problem just shouldn't happen. That's a basic quality control issue. As far as the fluid reservoir bracket goes if I was replacing the original brackets I could reuse the original bolts. However for the money I'd expect Rizoma to supply them. At the very least they should state somewhere that you need to reuse the original bolt.
