I am looking at fitting 1.25 inch bar risers to an 06 S2R 800.

The blurb says that they fit easily with no need for longer hoses etc. Looking at the bike and fiddling with the hoses there appears no extra slack available at al!!

Has anyone fitted bar risers?

Cheers,
Jim.

Hi Jim, I put bar risers on my 800, fitted ok, had to undo one of the union joints to move round a bit.
Really likes the riding position, better for my back !

Hi Jim, I put risers on my 1000ds transformed the riding position I used to have a twinge in my shoulders gone now.

I used 30mm ones didn't touch the hoses ect just a little jiggle about, ten minute job.

Just took a set off my 06 S2R ,they were a bit to high for the speed the bike seems to like ( nothing to do with me )
Drop me a pm if you want em.

If I have to loosen a banjo/union joint to fit the risers, won't it leak fluid?
cheers,
Jim.

Just literally crack the bolt and turn it. Not undo it loose. Only undo as much as it will tightly turn the hose fitting.

Cover your paint work and any area that may be damaged by brake fluid just in case, I use some old bath towels and wrap the banjo with some rag.

That's what I did, no fluid escapes.
