Hi all,
So got my monster 1100EVO yesterday :) mega mega fun.

However it turned up with no baffles for the termis or pillion footpegs.

I've contacted the garage that sold me it and they did not receive them from the original owner. :grump:

Anybody know where I can source these parts, not too bothered about footpegs but baffles would be nice....tis rather loud without them.

Thanks,
Guys

I think I have some, though they are for a 796, the underseat type.

If you can find out if they fit then £25 and they are yours.

The owners contact details might be in the service book.

Chris at desmoworld has some very nice billit db killers, if I remember there were some for sale on this forum awhile back.

No baffles and no pillion pegs. Nothing missing that doesn't need to be ;)

I agree entirely, more for mot's and so on. I had to lol at the old service docs.

Exhaust: 'baffles missing on termis, mot failure'

It's not due it's first mot until March 16. So plenty time to source. I seen the ones on desmoworld look good think I'll buy them at some point.

It shouldn't fail for having no baffles, its at the discretion of the MOT tester if its too loud though so it may help (-10dB). it will automatically fail however if they are stamped 'Race use only'. Take it elsewhere for mot next time.

If you have the carbon Termis they are marked race use only and do come with DB killers
The stainless looking ones are road legal and also come with baffles and have the necessary stamps.

Yes had a wee check there they are marked race use only. Suppose the police wouldn't be overly happy if they happened to take a wee look see.

I'll source some baffles from Desmoworld, that'll sort that wee problem out. But as you all say, and as I've found out on my three days of riding it. The noise is spectacular and I'll only baffle it for it's first mot next year.

The real trick is to find out which MOT station your local dealer uses.
Cover up the race use bit with silver tape.
