Howdy,
I opened up the M400 I bought recently and it has a Gucci air filter in there; nice.

I just bought a pair of Termignoni cans (just the cans, not the full exhaust) and I'm wondering if I need to rejet the carbs?

I'm in HK so it's a nightmare to make happen and if I can get away without it, that would be ideal. What would I be missing out on? Anything or nothing?

Alternatively, if it's a DIY job, I'm up for it! Just not sure which jets... :freak:

Any thoughts or recommendations?

Fit the cans, see how it runs. Should be fine I'd expect

Yea, should be fine. Run it and plug chop it to be sure. Most going that route would probably fit a Dynojet kit but not essential, but better performance with one. Are you running an open air box with a K&N type filter?

Thanks chaps!

Running the standard air box but a replacement filter element.

And, excuse me for being dim, but... what's a plug-chop?

Ha ha ha... thanks Slob.

So, basically... run it and then pop the plugs out and see how it's running? Simples.

I remember checking the plugs on my dad's old Allegro (Estate, mind) years ago so remember a similar picture from the back of the Haynes manual. Them were the days!

Forgive me for stating basics, I'm sure you'd have done it anyway but check plugs prior to fitting as well for comparison :)

Ummm... Yeah, of course... *cough*

I totally planned to check the plugs before. Honest...

Most likely the motor will get a teensy bit leaner, that's what your looking for so you don't cook/melt anything.
I put some high level arrows on a carbie 750 (standard airbox with K&N) and didn't have to do anything to the carbs.
