Hi

I have a set of these (http://www.rizoma.com/universal/grips/gr213-lux/en) on the bike and want to remove them, going to fit some comfy Renthals

I didn't initially fit them, so dont know how this works.

It looks like the throttle side grip has the throttle tube cam thing attached to it.

Does that mean I am missing the proper cam and will have to buy one to fit the Renthals?

Would prefer not to take it apart to check, just to put it back together whilst I get the right bit.

Yep. The Rizoma grips come with their own cam, which fits on to the end of the grips. You'll need a new/another throttle tube and cam if you just want to switch grips. The Rizomas ship with 3 or 4 different cams.

I do like those. I may have a standard throttle tube knocking about off my M600, not sure if it's the same as you 796 though.

if I remember correctly the stock Ducati twist-grip tube has a radius inside that you'll need to file out or you'll need to trim the inside of the Renthal rubber to fit.

Why can't things ever be simple?
