Hi all,
Well I've been looking everywhere for a replacement can for the evo. Only 3 criteria really -
1 - got to look decent - i.e. not overly obscure the wheel
2 - can't require re-mortgaging - sorry termi...
3 - can't obstruct pillions gripping the handles i have fitted - I love the look of higher pipes, and it would be a bonus to find some that don't get in the way...

After looking in all the normal places, I've found these three. Interested in opinions / experiences.
The first is the SC Project Oval pipe, the second is made by fresco (the 'full carbon') and the third is a Shift-tech pipe 433.

Unfortunately, I've yet to get the hang of posting images directly...bear with me!

Cheers!:mand:

The Shift-tech pipe looks very nice and small.
I had GPR exhausts fitted to my EVO , worth having a look for comparison.

And I would really recommend a ECU-remapping. Unfortunately that's another £500.
BSD in Peterborough are right near you.

I know the termi's are not cheap, but it is not a lot more expensive than any other system when you add in the extras you need.

Termi's come with redesigned air filter lid, free flowing air filter and DP ECU.
They do not interfear with pillion handles, are lighter and sound great

You can get your DP ecu remapped by Neil at Cornerspeed by post or taking it in, this will do away with the powervalve and lamba sensors as well.

I picked my Termi system from Ducati Glasgow for £925 inc postage .

They look the dogs and Termi and Ducati go together so well.

I also changed the front sprocket for a 14 tooth, ie 1 tooth down, makes town riding so much better.

Cheers for the feedback guys - I have a sneaking suspicion I'll be looking at the Termis again... time for some budgeting!!

The Termi's are very nice and very loud. They do come up on eBay every now and again. I picked my kit (cans, DP Ecu and filter) up for £650. The Ecu and filter had never been fitted and the cans are mint. So could be worth just being patient for some that are reasonably priced. £1200 much to expensive for new!

Yes they are a tad loud and the supplied DB killers are too quiet, try these if you dont like the loudness

Hi, if you do get your ECU remapped, use BSD in Peterborough, Mark is absolutely brilliant, he will set your bike up on the dyno, and do it properly, which is better than a postal service. It's about £300 now.
Been there a few times and due to go back shortly.

A vote for the SC Project can from me, reasonably priced, east to fit, sounds great, no need for engine re-map although I have fitted the sensor eliminators to smooth out at lower revs

Thanks for the input gents! Just to muddy the waters further, anyone ever seen these on a bike?

GPR Powercone £299

That is the exhaust I have.

I would also recommend fitting O2 sensor eliminators and a 14T front sprocket (I have). Low rpm response is as good as with the DP ECU or a remap. The low rpm riding on my evo is actually better than my M1100 with Termis, DP ECU etc and 14T sprocket.

One used just on ebay auction:

Rather expensive , in my opinion, but perhaps this :

Bike came with a 14T sprocket, so that's at least 1 thing done already. Just ordered some bits to eliminate the O2 sensors...hopefully I'll see a bit of smoother running before I even swap the can out - not that I'm much closer to deciding! Keeping an eye on the eBay Zards though...:mand:

When I fitted mine Termi's, even though it came with the DP ECU, I took the bike to Neil at Cornerspeed (Kirkby in Ashfield) and he downloaded the Rexxerr map for the Termi's and did dyno run before and after for lexx than £290, will be even cheaper if you send your ECU by post to him, this flash does away with the o2 sensors and the powervalve, thses can then be removed, bike is superb at liw revs now.

Which GPRs did you have fitted?

I had the twin stacked Titanium Round ones. Very niceI thought. Sounded great too.
Removable baffle.
A lot of the slip on's are easy to fit as they just join the manifold by the back break.

I had Zard's many years ago on my S4R. Pretty good.
I worry , in general, whether the carbon will look great for long, I know my current Terni's get dirty very easily.

Hmmm, lots of things to think about! I too am mindful of how the carbon might wear, but would also prefer not to have too many non-matching silvers/greys on the bike; bars, frame, engine block, header pipes, exhaust etc.. First-world problems eh?! :chuckle:
