Good condition overall - one of the pin holes has some minor bruising from the tool and there are some small scratches around the base as shown in the last 2 pics. Would probably polish out.

Well Dirty, it turns out to be made of a kind of ally that will not accept chemical blacking and would look really wrong in a built up area...:chuckle:

I couldn't resist taking it apart for a really good clean, and found that this was easily done by putting a large allen key in my vice.
I could then place the breather upside down on the key and use the same grip on the body as on new jar lids that the missus can't get open...If you can do this without a big grimace, you're a better man than me.

The valve assembly is identical to the standard item, but it was still slightly loose in the body whe it was fully tightened up and I figured it would rattle in use and wear the body.

So I put a tiny bead of silicon top and bottom, so as not to foul the valves. Now it's firm.

No O-ring on the base unlike the standard one, so a smear of silicone on the threads and jobs a goodun.

Not sure about the blingy hose finisher I got??

So I just matt blacked the original hose clip....Less is more eh?

Thanks Darren.....It's let the light in round the back of the barrel....Must tidy the harness!!
