Hey guys, A made a case saver for my other half's 900 earlier this week, and i had a bit of metal left over - enough to make 2 extra - I though they may be of interest to someone on here - one of those things that you always mean to get round to and never do (probably would have been the case for me if it was my own bike)

So if anyone is in need of a case saver and feeling a little lazy/unable to get round to making one, I have two up for grabs...

They've both been test fitted on a 1997 m900, and fit nicely.
made out of 1.5mm thick stainless steel so should do nicely if the chain ever does give up... made em in my lunch break at work with a (few) cutting disc(s) so they're far from anything off a CNC table but do the job ;) plus you cant see it with the cover on anyway...

if anyone's interested - tenner plus postage? mainly just to cover the materials :)

Hi Andy, do you think it would fit a 1100 motor ?

Hi Andy, do you think it would fit a 1100 motor ?

Rollo22 said he managed to make one from an S4R fit an 1100 with a bit of persuasion, so you might be in luck. (post #19)

Best way is to make a pattern from the drawing on the thread linked in #2 and see what it looks like.

cheers gaz ;)

i honestly have no idea what other duc's they'd fit im afraid... wasn't sure if it was gonna be the case of it would fit all models as per the dry clutch or if they were slightly different.... best i can say is that the distance between hole centers as they stand is between 121-125mm across...? (there is a bit of spring in the metal giving the differences...)

Not sure if that helps any though...

I can't remember exactly Bazread. I think I paid around £100 for the pipe then I had to pay a guy to alter the headers and make brackets etc. Probably around the £200 mark all in but that's a bit of a guess.

Cheers Dirty, I've just visited Steve at BBB Fabrications and picked up my case saver. I am going to go over there again when it is sunny see about making some custom pipework for the Evo.
