Today ! Brands, 20 min taster as I have not done one before and I wanted to see how they work. Was just getting into it until half way through someone binned it into the grass and it was red flagged.
Worth it to know my termis are 97db :mand:

When I did Brands GP last year they had four groups on 20 min session. Downside was the number of red flags throughout the day. I must have lost at least one session due to stoppages, and that really pissed me off. As an example they had 3 riders go down in one pile up at Druids, which wiped out half of one of my sessions.

Rockingham marshaling was way better IMO, plus we seemed to have less twats out on track that day. There were plenty of incidents but they kept the sessions moving under yellows, and I only saw one red flag all day. The MSV control and marshals seem a bit jobsworth, bringing out red flags for the most minor things on track. Bit of a wind up when you've spent over £200 to ride the GP layout.

Jim, I was chatting to Andy Page at the hotel Friday evening. He was busy browsing the web for late season euro events, and real keen on booking Cartagena on the 31/10/15 with No Limits. Very tempted to do the same myself - £400 for three days sounds like a good deal

So,
Bex, Gary T, Louscannon and myself had a great day at Oulton Park yesterday.
Damp first couple of sessions as the rain cleared but then dry for the rest of the day.
Louscannon's 899 Panigale pinging the noise meter in morning testing and a few times on the drive-by one meaning he was lucky not to get kicked off completely.

Great track, not much time to rest between twists & turns so a tough track on the body.

Oh, and my new Steering Damper came in very handy, now that's it's fitted properly, with all the dips and bumps and crest's when the bike kept lifting it's front.

Wet or dry, Oulton is my favourite. Once upon a time I could reach 1:47's but now it's 1:50's at best, but not in the wet!
This was my Birthday 2 years ago. Pelting rain & I was the only one out until lunch when the sun came out. 'kin 'ard me! :yoparty:
The Monster is going to Rockingham with me on Aug 2nd for a whizz around too.

Really enjoyed Oulton Park it was great fun. It started raining on first session during my sighting laps, and I bottled due to being on slicks and came in. Rest of day was dry and only other issue was my flat battery after lunch, caused by fried wiring from generator... that's the drawback of running a 25 year old bike I guess :cens:

Venhill 600A quick action throttle was brilliant, and made the bike much easier to ride

After having a couple of track sessions while on a ride skills course (yep still learning) on the KTM 690 duke and finding to be a fantastic track tool I am looking for a trackday to go play some more.

Here is a result or three from my 1 session blast on the M1200S at Rockingham yesterday +1. Just to scrub the tyres in properly. I actually took several mm off my toe sliders & shaved the exhaust almost every corner. It sure was Rob.... we had a fantastic 3 days in Spain. I was completely knackered by Monday.

We managed around 17 sessions on track, and it'll probabably take me several weeks to fully recover, but it was well worth it :mand:
