View Full Version : Clip-Ons
If I change my forks to fully adjustable Showas I think I'll have clearance problems between the fork pre-load/damper adjusters and the bars on my M900. So what to do?
I could fit bars with higher rise as per later M1000 bikes or go the clip on route. I quite like the riding position as is but if i have to change I would want to go lower rather than higher.
So if it's clip ons what are the options. Mount above or below top yoke? Different makes? Different angles of dangle?
Any advice (and photos if poss) gratefully received.
Many thanks

I saw a monster dark (600 I think) today in Alperton, London with clip ons (low level loud pipes & a butt tuck) and it looked pretty tidy. Don't know if he was one of ours or not though..

I like those clip-ons, are they Ducati made? I'm thinking of slapping a similar pair on mine.

E Train,
The redlines are imported from the USA, contact Stuart at Sareshack for details.
Natty,
It's a long story....
Wanted to fit a set of twin lights and tried a pair of small bates style lamps, cutting the old powerbronze screen to fit round the twin light. It looked pretty good ok but I found the beam on the bates lamps was crap for night use. I sent them back to M&P and swapped them for a pair of larger lights fitted with pukka 55/65 watt bulbs, and the beam was much better. The problem is I can't get to screen to fit properly with the bigger lights, so I've shelved the project and gone back to the standard headlamp :(
The custom lights won't go to waste as they may well end up on the other halfs trike eventually.
Oh well... nothing ventured nothing gained as they say:rolleyes:

Those larger twins are really nice though.
