Hi All,
I am after a pair of individual handlebar clamps to replace the one piece item on my 1997 900 if anyone has a pair laying around that will fit please.

I will have a look
Not sure on the fitting of the hole centres as there is a slight variation on some
Cheers, I think they need to be from a pre-2000 model but I am sure someone else can confirm or correct that?

Found these, approx 40mm hole centres if they look ok, I'll drop them in the post mate
Nice one thank you- I will have a measure up to check and drop you a pm as to how much you want for them etc.
Have had a measure and sent you a pm but mine measure 32mm centre to centre so perhaps yours are from a later bike if there is a difference?
my '93s measure 32mm centre to centre too
So there is a difference between the early and the later bikes along with top yoke design and fork diameters etc.
So if anyone can help with some early bike fitment individual handlebar clamps (32mm between hole centres) that would be great. Otherwise it's a call to Moto Rapido to see if they're still available and at what cost.
Many thanks!!

I have been after a full top clamp 40mm x 70mm centres for ages, looks like they don't do one, looked everywhere.
need to have a word with utopia!

I also have 1 like Uksurfers. Mine measures 38mm across the holes centres and its definitely a fat bar at 28.6mm dia.

Yes I've never seen a one piece clamp on the later bikes but the early ones seemed to have whatever was in the parts bin at the time fitted.
Wouldn't have thought it would cost too much for someone to 'knock one up' though depending upon how detailed you want it- I always thought the DPM ones looked rather nice:

Yes Albie, that is another variant entirely due to the larger diameter bars and because of the top yoke design with integral risers/lower clamps (the early bikes had separate 'through hole' risers/lower clamps) you need that as well if you want fat bars.
A good way to get rid of the ST style clip-ons on an S4 though- A simple swap the 'yoke and bars' from one of the S*R bikes that has fat bars as standard.

that's probably where it came from as I did it to my s4 . I thought I may have had some from bits and bobs. Will keep looking in case.

Cheers but they need to be from a pre-1999 bike as they have separate from the top yoke risers and clamps so the bars are held in place by four M8x60mm cap head screws.
A little update to finish off this thread- I gave Moto Rapido a call today and asked about the individual top clamps and they're a tenner each including VAT so I didn't think that was too bad.
For further information as I know someone was asking in another thread about the one piece top clamp for the early bikes- They're £37.00 including VAT.

That's fairly reasonable. Glad your sorted. :woot:
