Just thought I'd post this as I've got the belly pan and seat cowl on the M1000

Looking good ...... by the way there is a shopping trolley looking thing stuck to the back of the black one.

The blue one is a lovely colour.

Looking good. I always thought the little Monza style spoiler really suits the bike. I know others would probably disagree.

The blue is nice, I wasn't too sure at first but it looks nice in the sun.

The shopping trolley thing is a Ventura luggage rack, it's a girl thing!

How crap would it look with a chop and the rack sticking out the back?

You are right, it looks cheap and tacky. Oh and your shopping trolley thing would look out of place.

I can't decide whether or not I like tail chops....I probably don't?

I saw a chopped Monster a couple of weeks ago, and the owner had an adapted rear carrier with two spigots that fitted down the chopped tubes exactly. He could fit it at will when required. There was also a topbox for it.!!

All quite a neat job really.

I can't believe I have just used the words Tail chop, Carrier and Topbox all in the same post...:look:

If you really want a chopper you may as well get a Hardly Dangerouson! :)

Nice bikes

Each to their own but for me the rear lip thing spoils the rear slash/cut line that runs from the front of the trellis. I'm not even gonna mention the shopping trolley though I suppose it's handy for jump starts! :)

Its just that little :gay: bit at the end of that line I suppose?

Putting all these style issues aside, these are our long distance bikes out for a leg stretching, the usual more stylish rides were at home...

There doesn't exist a more stylish ride than a Monster! :mand:

That's probably what I think too ....more often than not.

And at least you avoided using "stormcoat and waders".

And ....you probably have my two favourite monsters there, Blues.
It was a close thing which one I was going to buy at the time.
In the end though, I chose the smaller one.
I have this thing about the 750 that goes back a very long way.....1973/4 would you believe ?
And its now the same blue as your 1000. Its a colour that I've always liked, and I grow fonder of by the day.

As much as I like the M1000, the M750 always makes me smile when I get to ride it

Get the 1000 properly set up, makes a world of difference if it's mapped well with a PC3 or similar. Made mine loads better. The factory map leaves a big hole in the torque curve right where you need it at about 3k revs.

Still kinda wishing I hadn't sold mine now.....

Thanks for the advice, in a similar way to riding the S4R I've found that riding above 4000 is where the bike is happiest. It doesn't have the two distinct power steps the S4R has but goes well enough for how I want to ride it.
