Wanted.....

Hi all,

My last thread was regarding my s2r1000 being stolen and unfortunately it remains outstanding.

Im not particularly looking forward to what little summer and dry days we do have without a bike. I wouldn't know where to begin in explaining what a superb bike the s2r was, it literally had everything and the 42,000 i covered on the bike would have been doubled as i had no intention of selling and the bike ran flawlessly. I am still gutted.

Anyway it shouldn't take more than one guess what bike i am now looking for !

if anyone is thinking about selling or knows of one for sale please get in touch. It is the 1000 i want to stick with and in red and white, black wheels. White wheels at a push, preferably on an 07/08 plate and under 5,000 miles. I've kept an eye out on the usual sites, auto trader, gumtree, eBay motors and piston heads and its quiet at the moment.

Get in touch if you see one, sooner rather than later as I really don't want to buy the Honda CBR600f !

Hi there was a 1000 S2R in these colours for sale on Gumtree the other day for 4k, I think it was in Scotland, might be worth checking back, looked a peach.

Yes I've seen this one, it's 55 plate and the black frame threw me. I didn't know they did the s2r with a black frame ? Prefer the red. There's no seat cowl either. More difficult than you would imagine to replace.

Quite often have new old stock cowls etc.
I got my touring/comfort seat from them.

Seat cowl is easy enough to replace but the black frame only came with the black bike, so it either has a new tank or a has had a re-spray. It doesn't look quite right does it?

I think that one with black frame and 'red*' tank is an 800, you can tell from the clutch cover and brakes etc. I think the black frame ones only came in silver, (like mine) or black only, unless someone know's something different that is....

* I think that might actually be orange, again I think all the red 800s all had red frames too.

Pic 1 is an orange 800, black stripe.

Clueseses are: not a DS engine, diddy brake calipers, brake master cylinder and non-adjustable forks.

Pic 2 is an 800 also, after that they're the real McCoy!

(I'm not biased at all....:look:)
