I saw that one but figured if you spent £1000 fixing it, it still wouldn't be nearly as good as as one you could find for £2000 - and without any of the aggro.

I was told why not buy that bike .. Given my last experience and how fast the cost
1. Take a real close look it's had more crashes then a dogem car .
He had this bike up at £695? Classified ..
But so many people rang him with higher offers he decided to send it to auction.

Um so your bikes for sale at £695 buy it now ??? Someone calls you and say yup il buy it ...why would you say to him il give you more then the asking price ?
Usually you'd haggle it down .

Then he sent it to auction at £695 with 26 days to go .
Then again today he has upped the start bid to £1000 with 26 days to go !
Mot is out in March ..
What he says is wrong ... Cough take a good zoom in there's a lot of niggly damage .
Given one of my monsters was crashed once and not to that extent it wasn't until it started coming apart that the bits that were damaged became evident .
Including frame .
It took it to stripping point to find bits and bobs and so far 3 grand later it's not completely sorted :)
I was told why not buy that bike ?
Given my last experience and how fast the cost mounts up ... No way.

Looks well maintained to me given the dents, dirt and general wear and tear and what looks like oil on the hugger! Even the handle bar yoke bolts are rounded off - £1000 wouldn't be near enough to restore it - I know I have spent more than that just tidying up a bike that was in better nick to start with.

That is rats, although the 750SS I bought was not much better and had slightly more battle damage but I only paid £375.

I would offer them £500 tops.

Few buckets of soapy water will soon have that fixed up:eek::eek:

Plenty of carbon on it which, if it cleaned up ok, would get you near £200 back. Certainly seems to have been crashed from every different possible angle though.

Look on the bright side, hasn't been tail chopped! :mand:

Why not spend 30 minutes with a bucket and sponge? You can't polish a turd but you can freeze it to stop it stinking too much...

Love the way the chain has flapped so much it's eaten part of the hugger.

Still the motors are intrinsically tough, the fuel tanks less so LOL, so might be OK but a lot for what it is and what it needs I think.

Thought I ought to post a direct link to save people having to go to ebay and search by item number when viewing this little beauty

It's got adjustable Showas on the front. I wonder if it is (was) an "S"?

If it had Iron discs it would explain it's brown patina, but the discs appear to be the brightest bit of the bike, so maybe not.

Tank and seat don't match and are buggered anyway, so new ones of those needed for a start....I would have had a go for £500, but he's playing silly beggers....34 offers??

I don't know about TLC, but you'd think if he was serious about selling it he would at least give it a good wash first!
