Morning Graham

I have twin headlights on my 97 M750, they were on it when I had it.

I think they are called Dominators or something similar and are available in black or chrome from M+Ps.

They are a perfect fit into the original headlight bracket on my bike but probably not on yours.

Possibly a bit old fashioned for a modern Monster.

Thinking of changing to something like this when I have time to make a new headlight bracket.

Each to their own, but personally I think the std light suits a monster best.
If I were to change my old style one, I'd probably fit the one from the later monsters.
Or a slightly smaller aftermarket round unit.

There is also the "Hesa" stacked twin headlight like Yorkie has.

Glad you posted that, Flip.
One of the neatest, std..ish looking headlight mods I've seen on a monster.
Was tempted to copy it myself in a carbon, race cowl.

I think Max fitted a similar projector style unit to his faired mongrel (no offence intended).
And I think the unit itself came from a car ...maybe a Renault.
Dunno how effective it is though.

Cheers Jeff, very nice of you to say so!!!

Yep, it is a carbon ex-Challenge fairing with a 50mm hole cut in it off set to the right for the light and then the two cut-outs for the standard indicators as per the original fairing(thank you Dremmel for making it so easy). I then had it painted to match the seat cowl but leaving an edge of carbon visible where the screen fits.

I used a generic projector light (the dip one with the beam pattern plate inside and side light bulb) which is the same design as those used on 749/999 models and made a bracket that fits onto the standard headlight mount meaning it can be swapped back to standard in about ten minutes.

I have to admit it is not the best arrangement when travelling on unlit roads as with no main beam it somewhat restricts a safe speed to see by. But round town and day time it definitely gets noticed and as I say, such a quick swap no real bother to do if I know I will need a better light.

Really like the look, the more I see race plates on the rear the more I want some

I will be selling this and going back to a small round headlight.

It's a 600, but even if it wasn't I'd remove the cooler. I don't like the look.

I have a pair of the twin side by side (Dominator) lights, in chrome. I bought them before deciding I didn't like them. If you fancy them, let me know.
