I wasn't sure which section to put this in.
I've just had my scruffy pump cover done by Fastline Coatings (http://www.fastlinecoatings.co.uk/). I should have taken a before picture, the paint was in a really bad way, flaking off all over and the hose joint was all crudded up. As you can see they've done a really good job.

nice one, looks excellent. it's always good to find a bike specialist who knows about masking threads/gasket surfaces etc. it can be a nightmare getting parts back from a place that's used to doing fire escapes and other industrial stuff and finding powder coat everywhere.

Should have done that to my S4R.

Do they do stuff by post as the generator cover on the M1000 would benefit from the treatment?

Cheers

As a guide- how much did that cost to have done (if you don't mind telling) and did they do the prep work before coating?

Yes, I just took the scabby old bit in and two days later this was ready. It was £20 which I thought was OK for just one small part. I've got the cover back on now and it's a pretty good match.

They did the centre stand and brackets, plus a few other bits and bobs all in black of my Guzzi a couple of years ago and that was £40. They were rusty and in a bit of a state.

That's good going, I'm after a V50 as a winter bike for the better half, so that's well worth knowing

That's a bit of alright....Most powder coaters have a minimum charge a lot higher than that....£60 to name just one.
