Hi guys, I am looking for a good S4Rs. It needs to be a good one with full Ducati history. Ideally a white one too. Termis would be great.

I know there is a TriColor for sale but that is above my budget and not my ideal colour. Shame as I'm in Edinburgh too.

If anyone hears of anything please let me know.

Good luck with your hunt, very rare beast, and possibly a quite a search to find the colour / condition you require.

According to how many left there were only 116 road registered last year

I would consider other colors too. Just that the white is ideal.

There aren't many left are there :(

You may as well give the Tricolore a look as it is so close.

Chances of a bike coming up so close to home are quite low...I had a 500 mile round trip to collect mine, there was nothing local after months of looking...But I got a real humdinger in the end..:mand:

It's really close actually and its a stunning bike. I'm just not looking to pay £8,500 for one though.

At their height there were 185 UK road registered (2008). It does beg the question where have they all gone as the figure is supposed to include taxed and sorned bikes?

I seem to remember a slightly rough example for sale via ebay last year (merseyside?) and it was well into £6k. They tend to go for £7-8K, in saying that the tricolore for sale on here looks proper mint and is worth every penny IMO......

This one might be worth an e mail to see if the seller still has it for sale. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Ducati-Monster-S4RS-/151492739886?pt=UK_Motorcycles&hash=item2345abc32e

I'm sure his bike is mint but I'm not interested if it is that much to get one. I'm not saying it's not worth it to someone. Just not to me. I would put a bit more into it and get a Diavel at that level.

Send a pm to "phatty "on here, his white one might still be for sale and more in your price range.

Be patient, a friend of mine bought one last summer for £6500 off MCN. Full Termi and 3500 miles, absolute minter.

There's one in Ducati Wolverhampton........

Thanks for the replies guys. My local Ducati dealer said I should pay £5-6,000 for a good one with a full history and £500 more if it's a minter.

I will email phatty too! :)

Having cash now might bump me up a bit in that queue! Lol!

I tried messaging Phatty but he hasn't posted here since June 13 :(

I saw the tricolore but it is too expensive for me.

Sellers Chancing their arm at those silly prices I think.
But rarity pushes prices up. My old S4R probably died somewhere.

I'd go for this one personally.

That grey one looks nice!

in case it wasn't obvious, that's the S4R, not RS. Same engine I believe in the later versions such as that but without the ohlins and lighter wheels.

Agree though, it's a lovely colour scheme

If you could buy the grey one for £5k that's a crackin bike. Termi's, low mileage, carbon hugger, one owner......I'm talking myself in to it !!

The forks on the non S model were still fully adjustable ?

Yes, Showa 43mm upside down forks.
Sachs rear shoch.

Sachs rear shoch.

you could arguably have a bike just as good by buying that grey bike (same engine), getting a new adjustable shock for your weight (Nitron?) and forks redone for your weight (<£1000 easily for the lot I would imagine). Then save for carbon wheels and it's technically a "better" bike than the S4Rs in my eyes! :look:

But... if you want the ultimate monster, you need the RS. Monoblock calipers, gold ohlins bling and exclusivity. :)

10k for the red one! Blimey!

The grey does look nice. I could be wrong but they look like radial mono blocs, were they standard on the S4R?

you're right! Don't think they were standard though?

That bike is really appealing....

ETA: looks like the later 998 engined S4R came with monoblocs as standard

Here's a picture of my S4R whch I sold in 2009 for £5500, its probably still worth the same today.

Yep, looks like
996 S4R = standard brakes
998 S4R = Blingy brakes

Every days a school day eh :)

Well I can account for 2 one white and one red which I have broken and sold that just leaves 183 not accounted for

Show me a S4RS between £5-6k and I will gladly eat my hat (after I've bought the bike myself)

Hello,
I was toying with putting my bike up for sale, it is a White/red stripe S4RS. Below is pic. It has correct colour seat cowl now, and the number plate is back on it. I have taken the mirrors and carbon clutch cover off and it has standard ones on it. Let me know if you are interested. Cant upload pic at mo, too big. Let me have a play and try and get it smaller !
