I was wondering what people thought of this as an example.

Saw this bike on Auto Trader’s Android App. Thought you might be interested. http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/201409267722020

Looking at changing from my 620 dark to something different. Keeping my options open but an S2R is an option :mand:

I was down near them today. To be honest as a dealer they don't have the best rep but the S2R 800s are well thought of on the forum.

Wait for a bargain, there's plenty around for less than that. Might be higher miles though but i've read some people have done 80k?

Nice looking bike but overpriced by about a grand I'd say. It's unusually low mileage but that isn't necesarilly a good thing, the most reliable monsters are those that are constanly ridden!
I love my S2R800.

Yep, I would agree....its overpriced.
I paid £2600 for my 750, when it was about 4yrs old and only had 2000m on the clock.
And it was mint....with two former lady owners !!!!

But of course, neither of them were going to keep it because this bike had my name etched into its soul on the day it was built.
It was never destined to belong to anyone else. :D

So do dealers not like 800's or is it the dealer who doesn't have a good rep??

The dealer! The S2R is a great bike, almost as good as the M600 :mand:

The reviews are worth reading (https://plus.google.com/105808158869027854204/about?hl=en&gl=uk) yourself just for entertainment.

Here's a recent one

I will never purchase a moped or motorbike from this place ever again. Great sales pitch, very polite, very attentive and very professional however the aftersales, customer service (or lack of) and repairs to a bike that should have been supplied in safe working order was very poor.

I was promised that once I collected my bike it would have a service. Not true, which was evident when it was towed by the RAC to a local garage after it broke down! I had so many problems with my bike at the start that they either didn't repair when I returned it or they repaired poorly (rear brakes and indicator), so in the end I paid for a local garage to repair what they couldn't.

Whilst being repaired my local garage found that the spark plug had not been changed for years, the drive belt was on the wrong way around, and a socket from a socket set was found siting inside the compartment when the belt was! Proof that they did not even service or check it.

When I collected the bike the rear brakes were completely ineffective and the mirrors, that were present in the advert but not present when I viewed the bike, were obviously taken off another bike and were rusty and damaged.

Anyone praising this place only does so because they get discounted servicing or know the staff, so ignore any positive comments and mine and many others experience was fafr from positive. Its a shame, because they have a nice shop, nice looking bikes and a good sales person however this is all let down by non-existent customer service, poor repairs and workmanship and sub par bikes

Looks a good bike but overpriced. Paid £3000 for mine from a dealer 4 months ago, 15000 miles, service history, cannot fault it so far. Does not say if original bars and silencers or 3 keys included.
