I received a Nitron R2 for my M900ie today. It is mechanical porn at its finest. The helpful service, fast delivery and useful discussions regarding setup for my bike with the sales team at Nitron really was first class. I will be fitting it as soon as I get a few hours on a weekend where it isn't raining ie January or February :-( If the other reports on here are anything to go by - I will not be disappointed. Will report back as soon as I get a few miles under my belt.

Regards

You won't be disappointed, I'm delighted with the Nitron on my S2R, a real class piece of engineering and the best shock for the money in my opinion!

Yep, I'm very happy with mine too.
The quality of engineering is immediately obvious as soon as you pick one up.
These were std fitment for the Triumph 675 race series bikes.
I even like the turquoise spring !!

Also....
Its perhaps worth a mention that the place I got mine from (HPS) were doing a Christmas deal whereby you could include a(n) hydraulic preload adjuster for half price.
A quick check on their website reveals that the offer is on again this year.
If set up correctly, this makes a world of difference if you ever carry a pillion.
Its also useful for temporary experiments with rear ride height.

Managed to get the Nitron fitted today, it was a bit of a mission out in the cold. Also fitted the hoop extenders (thanks louigi moto), fitted a riv-nut on the swingarm on the hugger bolt where the nut had broken free inside, and also managed to fit new exhaust studs/nuts on the rear cylinder. Six hours in the cold outside the garage - ouch. I got out for a quick blast just before dark, too greasy and damp to really get a feel for the new shock but first impressions are good. The rear hoop extenders however have changed the feel totally, the steering feels much lighter and quicker. I will set up the rear sag as soon as I get an hour or two of daylight.

Good work with the exhaust studs, there's bugger all room there.

As the weather was good I spent the day adjusting the shock to get the rear sag and damping dialed in. The unloaded and loaded sag is now pretty close to the suggested figures. I have ended up backing the damping down a notch on compression and rebound too following a little test ride on a bit of bumpy road I know. I then had a good 30 mile blast out on a bit of twisty A Road. With the hoop extenders and the new shock the handling is much improved. The issues with the forks are much more apparent now. The rebound damping on the forks feels very low. The front seems to spring back too fast when you let the brake off.

I am very impressed with the rear shock, night and day difference over the standard item, big thumbs up so far to Nitron. Just need some warm dry days now to give it a proper hard run to get the damping adjusted.
