View Full Version : Milky or fogged up headlight!!!!

Got my mot tomoro and took the monster out of its bike barn took the cover off and lo and behold a milky or fogged up headlight. What to do for mot?............ help!

Duster on a stick to polish the internal glass face?

But you can improve things a bit as the glass and reflector can be separated so it is easy to clean.

Have a little look here if you want to pull it apart but to be honest in all the years mine was fogged up it was never questioned come MoT time.

I doubt it will matter for MOT test but, given that the lights are not very good, anything you can do to improve light output is worth doing...

If its just moisture then why don't you remove the whole lamp and bring it inside and put is somewhere warm like the airing cupboard overnight and it will probably dry out?

Easy take the bulb out and blast it with the old woman's hair dryer.

Twas easy enough to take apart, wasnt moisture but some greasymilky residue, but mr muscle took care of it
