Heading over to Florence next easter for a few days and would like to hire a bike (ducati would be good, however not essential:)).

I know it's a long shot however has anyone got any recommendations?

Jeez thats really expensive ,,,when u add in all the extra insurances , fees , mileage

and that deposit is scary ,, a lot of potential to be ripped off ,,,

i have rented bikes in asia, africa and USA much cheaper than that with no deposit needed

take your own bike less risky ,,,

May not be what you are after but the all the hotels we stayed at in Siena and Florence last had information on bike hire, but scooters only. May be worth contacting where you are staying to see if you can pre book. Definately worth doing around Siena, you could spend a week just walking around Florence,

Actually wanted to ride (2 up) to Sienna and Pisa so a scooter would be too small. We were in Florence a couple of years ago and visited a bike hire place, it didn't fill me with confidence hence the reason for trying to get a personal recommendation.

In Florence, I took a motorbike to rent from BookYourMoto (https://bookyourmoto.com)

If you get the opportunity visit Lucca and San gimignano, not too much to see or do in Pisa apart from the torre...My cousin might have a spare bike knocking around, will ask for you.

Personally, I used the service BookYourMoto.
If it is interesting to someone else can see, I can tell you more about my journey on a motorcycle Ducati Diavel (https://bookyourmoto.com/motocard?id=588f49fed4869c576372e8ce&city=57ac5d08111bdf720d7a721e&country=57ac566598333c550bd79997&dateFrom=1534316411004&dateTo=1534489211004). Never in my life before it did not go, very cool machine!
