Hi,

I am looking for something a little deeper for the 1200. Not too fussed about power gains but want something nicer sounding, bit louder and much lighter !

I have looked at the Termis but with a decent deal on these being around £1000 it is a touch pricey.

I have been looking at the Remus exhausts which look great. I have had a couple of Remus cans before and loved them.

My question is, the Termi comes with a new map for the bike, if i get a Remus/ shift tech/ Ackaprovic will I have to get the bike remapped? Is this even possible on a 1200?

Any help will be much appreciated as Calsport are at the bike show so might try and get a deal off them on the Remus.

Cheers guys !!!!

Be careful as to the alterations you carry out.
I've been in discussion with my local dealer about different exhausts. They claim that Ducati will not stand by the warranty if the exhaust mods are not DP.

You might as well throw your warranty down the toilet if you go aftermarket. There is a reason Ducati remap at the same time, look on eBay there is a dealer offering new termis at £750 limited time.

JHP were selling NEW Diavel's last year with Remus cans fitted in the showroom. They did say they would 'set them up ' whatever that means but also offered a new ECU for £250.00. Personally I'd buy an Akrapovic or Remus exhaust and get them to fit and set up, still save you £500 and look a damn site better also.

Also hear that Ducati will be offering Akrapovic cans next year for certain models, just the slip ons...

Termi's are ****e. Better made options are available for less. Even 750 quid is a rip-off.

Looking at Ducati site the EBay ones should come with dedicated mapping.

Whatever you put on, it will need an ECU remap. Even the DP Termi's with ECU still run rough at low speeds due to emissions restrictions. I've just had my 1100 evo remapped by Cornerspeed Ducati. Much smoother running and a couple more hp. Got rid of the O2 sensors and exhaust servo motor\cables too.

I'd check whether these were the 'racing Termi's' not the road legal ones.

Those are the race only cans

I have taken the plunge after speaking to Ducati. Warranty is all good and should run fine without any remapping asking as you stick to a good name that has put the development in.

I went for the Remus hypercone in black and can't wait to get it !! :)

It comes tomorrow.

So Ducati said, it will not effect the warrant and actually recommended getting it, putting it on and see how it runs. The guy in the service department said they are getting a tool early next year which will mean they can put specific maps on the bikes for certain set ups so will probably get that done at some point too.

Fingers crossed all runs ok !!! :)

I'm sure it'll run but it won't run as it really should.

With ever tightening emission and noise parameters that the manufacturers are having to comply with, the leaning off of the fuelling and over gearing the final drive are the most cost effective ways they can do it.

As the 1100 Evo owners here that have had remaps will testify, they are noticeably improved by proper fuelling (remember too lean is much worse than too rich) and lowering the gearing both give the bike better rideability.

I'm not even sure my bike had a warranty when it was new but if it did I'm sure it's run out now or was voided when used 'for competition' so I did what I could to try and get it through noise testing.

Not for a monster but I looked at their streetfighter version. I also have an SC project can in the loft which I'm thinking of sticking on the 1100 instead of termis.

I've heard good things about them and they seem pretty good value for money.

If it stops the exhaust hitting your leg then its better than the factory version, as that was one of things that put me off buying one
