In two minds about selling this so am testing the water really.

I appreciate this is not to everyone's taste but I kind of based the look on a photo from the original accessories catalogue that came with my bike when bought new in 1997.

It is a genuine Ducati Performance carbon fibre challenge fairing (which were actually from old stock from the original Italian one make race series that ran in the mid to late 1990's) with a 60mm hole cut off centre to the right to allow the use of a single projector headlight along with cut outs as per the normal fairing for the front indicators.

It has been professionally colour matched red with a white 'number board' separated by a gold pin stripe along with a panel under screen left to show the carbon before the whole thing was then lacquered over.

It mounts using the original fairing brackets and a standard 'early' Monster screen fits without modification. In addition to this the fitting for the projector light uses the right hand bracket of the original headlight with the left side staying in place meaning it takes only a few minutes to swap between this and the original headlight/fairing.

The only downside to the projector light arrangement is that it is dip beam only as the beam pattern is made using a template inside the lens. This was never really a problem for me as I seldom do long distances at night and when I did it was an easy swap back to standard but it does have a side/parking light as per normal and when running with lights off or on side lights the flasher/pass function works normally but of course on a dipped pattern.

So if this is of any interest to anyone please get in touch and perhaps we can work something out.

Fitted to my 900:

What it was loosely based on:

Bumping this up again as I am still thinking of selling since going back to the original headlight and thinking the money would help me fund an extra race meeting later in the season.
