Bikes of Brighton (Preston Road - A23 north, just before the viaduct) are having an open day on Saturday 20th March.

Although they are primarily a KTM dealership (wey hey!), they have plenty of roadbike accessories, and there will be clothing dept bargins to be had, together with Steve Woollatt (Top Fuel drag-bike* champion), and Streetfighters magazine will also be there. BoB's mechanic Paddy also has a very tasty streetfightered 916 - so lets add a few more Dukes to the fray huh?

I think the best plan would be to meet at Bikes of Brighton at around midday, spend a while checking out any bargins and perhaps getting our bikes (well, AK's at least) photographed by Streetfighters Magazine, then head out for a shortish ride to a nice pub for a spot of lunch for those who fancy it.

Directions for those not familiar - if heading into Brighton from the A23/A27 bypass direction, you will pass Preston Park on your left (large green patch of grass, with trees and a bandstand and stuff, you know the kind of thing...) before baring left around the one-way system and then right under the viaduct - following signs for centre of town. At the traffic lights/intersection at Preston Circus (large fire station on your left as you wait at the lights), you need to turn immediately right, and go back up the A23 Preston Road - towards the viaduct again, and Bikes of Brighton is about 100yds up there on the right hand side.

It is not a large shop, so please don't expect anything too fancy - but they are a great bunch, and will have some interesting bikes on display, and should have some good deals on clothing/helmets/boots etc. and are also a Simpson Helmet dealer now.

Will try our best to come down Jen (weather permitting), but please can you expect us if you see us - as dont want to commit at the moment (have got appt to see new house again on Sat), and lots to start clearing up to do here, if we want to play out around Easter (as trying to go for 4 weeks completion at the mo :eek:.
Will post on Sat am at latest, to confirm if coming - and will have to meet you there, rather than pi** you about with meeting places, if thats ok?
