I'd love to mate but I don't have a rolling chassis at the minute. Also waiting on a couple of parts to turn up :(

Bit of winter maintenance, bit of a clean up, bit of a measure up and test for some new bits that need fitting one day.

Uhm ok. Understand all of them bar the clean up bit I mean pressure washer does same job in 2 minutes and no it is not booring or cheating

Yeah true but there are places that even a pressure washer can't reach. Plus if you want to check certain things for wear you need to start undoing stuff. There's no better way to get to know your bike either in my view, than to take it apart, leave it on the garage floor for a few weeks then try to remember which bit goes where! :)

How many quick release couplers needed to make my tank 'quick release'? 2?

Hi Dirty,

Did you eventually get to fit those quick release coupling on the fuel line? I am about to do the same for a carb M900 (making it easier to work on) however the fuel line gas a tight radius going out of the tank, backward then turning 180deg to go to the carbs, I am a bit worried that having the coupling there might force it, leading to getting leaks later??

Hi Froggy

I did but I was swapping out an engine and fitting different carbs at the same time so made new fuel lines and added the QR couplings to those. If you think the bend is too tight perhaps add a few inches of fuel line.

Thanks for the update. Yes, I think I will swap the line to a slightly longer one and fit the QR after the bend (if that make sense!).
