So I was in Colchester the other day and decided to pop into my local Ducati to have a look at the new 821 monster,They had sold all their allocation, so I had a chat with Martin the manager about when they would have one available. Whilst talking, I was asked why the 821 and not the 1200, to which I replied my budget. To my surprise, Martin then made me an offer to purchase their demo 1200 which was to good to be true....guess what sits in the garage at home !!

I did a very similar thing with a Z1B Kawasaki back in the mists of time.
Never regretted it for a moment.
Temptation is brilliant.....its all about knowing when to happily resist cos its the sensible thing to do, and when to dive headlong in.

Any plans for the weekend ? :spin:

ps....with the Kawasaki, I actually woke up the next morning thinking "that was a nice dream...bought a Z1".
Then it slowly dawned that it wasn't a dream.

I generally don't impulse buy motorbikes, but what the hell!
I'm away this weekend into London for the tall ships, so no milage !!

Yes, why has the forum picture function thing been broken for so long. We are missing out on lots of pics especially from noobs who probably get disheartened and give up.

Obviously Grumps isn't a noob but this being his first Monster and all I bet he's dying to put up some pics!!!

I have mentioned it once or twice :) So have others, ad nauseum :)

I always do the same, it's better but new site members often get stuck and frustrated by it. I'm sure some give up and p off, which means we miss out.

The trouble with posting photos on the site is that it uses huge amounts of bandwidth consumed. Hence the ridiculously low size restrictions... and why I link to mine elsewhere. This problem gets worse with every generation of smartphone. I had come to assume user error in most cases. I will investigate but we do need a better long term solution but unless someone with pre-installed skills or more time on their hands than me steps up it ain't going to happen quickly
