first little bimble this evening, its a bit different, gonna take a bit o getin used to, but i can say, on the twisties, rollin on an off the throttle is sublime...

well, after todays run, its confirmed... the suspension is crap, i put a tie wrap around the fork just to see how far it dips, after an hour of just normal use, i cut the tie off, i was worried it may damage the seal, it was that close to bottoming out, took it easy all day and even came home early, as it was just too boring.

Would you know if this is this normal for this model, i,ve searched the net and nobody else seems to be reporting issues, some folk even having a moan about the forks being too harsh from new.

i,m going to ring cradely kawasaki in the morning, but not sure on where i stand, as in my opinion the bike isnt fit for purpose, for a 3 year old bike, less than 5k on it, i,m pretty sure i shouldnt be shelling out for suspension upgrades, just to make it usable, i,m not talking track either, just normal road use.

what do you think ?

Hi i had the same problem far to soft on the front
i adujusted to Preload 8.5 turns out , rebound 1 turn out ,Compression 2.25 turns out.
have a play about mine is much much better now.

I would have thought there was enough adjustment in the evo forks to get along with? Obviously there is lots you can do to make stock forks work better (costing ££ though) but try adjusting (or returning the adjustments to stock) as a starting point.

Thanks chaps, I've adjusted it till I was blue in the face. .

then popped it down to KAIS suspension specialist.

Paid to have them adjust it best they could, and yesterday's ride was the result.
They recommend re springing front and back...

Ducati use the services of a BBB test rider so I'd imagine 15st is ok.

Not knowing your riding style, but could the problem be you are trying too ride it like a pocket rocket
Me being a crap - average rider I know I will never be as good as the suspension on the bike.
I tend too try and let my old girl, roll into the corners and power through and out whilst enjoying the heady roar of the straight through terms ;)

to be fair, lots people say the rear shock is a weak link on the the EVO. IMO if you are paying £400-500 for a new rear shock to improve handling you might as well get the forks done too and feel the full benefit.

Some complain that having to re-suspend a new bike is not acceptable but if you consider the range of sizes and riding styles a new bike needs to cover then you can imagine the standard set up on most bikes will be lacking.

Black Bob had a new shock on his and he seems to think it transformed the bike :thumbsup:
