Had a fantastic time on the "Classic Bike Trackdays" event on 1st Aug
The old m600 Mongrel did herself proud
Took the first 2 sessions steady, then when I had more confidence that she wasn't going to dump her guts all over the track, I gave the old girl a good thrashing
The clutch was starting to slip in the last session, but I can forgive her for that
Loved every minute of it & can't wait for the next one

Excellent stuff, and great pics.

Are they the quiet pipes?

Particularly liking the first pic.
A classic Cadwell collage of mountain, wheelie and following pack.
You should frame that.
Or even submit a calendar pic ......hint.

Funds permitting, I might even join you next time.

No they where the chopped ones, Track limit was 105db, it made 105.5db, but because it has no tacho to give accurate reading, Bloke said he'd let me off

Well worth doing Jeff, the cut off is meant to be 1995, but they allowed my 1998 to enter as its within the spirit of the event

Ah.....I'm guessing that "built in 2000, registered in 2001" isn't quite going to make the cut then.
I was overlooking the fact that it was a classic day, actually.
Might be a bit iffy on the 105db also, to be honest.
Though my bike does have classic roots.....I wanted a monster in 1974, but they hadn't made them yet.

I'm going to try to make next years event on the NC30

That's a 1990 grey import so well inside the 1995 cut-off

The "Classic Bike Trackdays" folk are hoping to run 3 events next year.
The thought of doing a normal track day just leaves me cold
The Classic bike weekends are well organised, laid back, no pressure events
The focus is not to go as fast as you can, but to enjoy the opportunity to blow the cobwebs off your old pride and joy
There is 1 main rule, No Undertaking, so you can enter a corner safe in the knowledge that your not going to be sat up mid bend
I did the event on my Dog slow M600, which didn't let it self down and even overtook a few bikes ;)
The 1995 rule is not set in stone (mine was a 1998), as long as the bike is within the spirit of the event,

I don't think you will get a better shot of you on a bike Al, as Utopia says, frame it!

Also agree with Dookbob - what a fantastic picture of the NC30 - I'm still trying to work out what position the photographer was in when he took the pic!
