Tony from Ducati Wolverhampton destroyed a pair of boots at the Cadwell track day.
He said it would be greatly improved with some rearsets

The pegs touch first, so I would suggest he changed down whilst into a corner?

Agreed, it seems odd. No hero blobs?

The pegs fold up and the hero blobs have been ground off too!

Sounds like he chose the wrong type of bike for the type of riding he likes.

I wouldn't be so sure. Have you ridden one?

Nope, not interested in that type of bike. I prefer them to Harleys but that is a bit like saying I prefer Gonorrhoea over smallpox :)

Especially now that it appears to tear itself apart with a bit of spirited riding. That said it could be the riders fault who knows. I've heard they are capable of tearing up when ridden by talented riders. In fact that's why a mate of mine bought one.

Maybe a very capable bike, everyone I've spoken to who's ridden one tells me so but it's still a cruiser, albeit a sporty one, and never really going to be at home on the track, as shown by the ground clearance issue, the weight/bulk and I can't imagine that huge rear tyre turns in too easily?

Horses for courses though but other than straight-line acceleration, I'm sure my Monster would be more track capable.

Pretty sure if Rob had done that with a certain pillion he'd have received a good socking right in the kisser ;-)

I wouldn't buy one to take on a track. It certainly will corner, though, provided you give it a bit of a shove to persuade it to do so. It's a very different ride compared to a light, fluid little Monster, and could never be accused of feeling uninvolving. And that fabulous engine feels right at home in the Diavel - unlike, IMHO, the M1200.

Rode a Drivel a few weeks ago, was very surprised how much I enjoyed it. In some ways I thought it was a better bike than the new 1200S Monster...

Not only do they handle well on track... they are pretty useful off road too
