Looks like Ducati have updated their website with some cool features.

You'd have thought they'd have checked it was accurate. I think I would have noticed if my bike had a 5 spoke front wheel and a 3 spoke rear! LOL

This is what mine looks like!

Some inaccurate specs too

That looks more like a 696/796 outline

Yes, why do they do that ?
I can only assume that the data doesn't exist in the correct technical format for bikes built in the last century.
And, since those bikes were sold and forgotten years ago, the management see no need to update.
Or am I being too harsh in my judgement ?

The data exists, they just can't be bothered to stick it on the site. If they can't even get the bikes that are already there correct they obviously don't care too much about it.

Not exactly what I'd call an archive then.

They probably didn't keep any accurate records of what they'd made prior to the Americans getting involved! :)

A bit like the customer care (at least that from the '90s and early '00s) where known manufacturing faults were ignored, bare-faced denied to exist ('the first we've heard of that fault') and never rectified, even for the then current and future models.

E.G. the chrome plating on Desmoquattro rocker arms.

But we love'em really...
