Heres the lnk:-

And I'd be surprised if someone doesn't buy them at that price! If I had an air cooled M900 I would.

All you need then is a set of ST2 barrels! :)

If I get these for the Monster, the barrels will be machined out and replated.

Yorkie yes bore out barrels and replate.

While ST2 barrel option is good as those are not stock ST2 ducati pistons but rather high comp big bore monster pistons rings might not be perfect fit in to ST2 barrel (trust me been there and am again!).
Best option is to bore and sleeve/re-plate for best compression. Make sure it is done by a good shop that bores and plate's to the size of those specific pistons and rings.

He got them off me and I have never used them as went with higher compression after market items that had since chewed them selves up by sand so have a new set and barrels made to fit them.

Yorkie make sure you setup correct squish between barrel and head so there is no damage and you get best compression.
Then as those are high-comp pistons timing will have to be retarded but best is to also have fully adjustable timing belt rollers.
Again if you are going there and have lots of cash try looking for V2 cams for heads. If not option ST2 cams or 900SSie are 2nd best. With V2 and I think ST2 cams you will need to make sure valves clear the piston. With 900SSie they just go in.

It will go nice with your lighter engine bits :) (hint look for corse alternator it will sahve off a bit more from engine rotating mass :D)

Cheers buddy, I didn't go for them in the end as I have a good (hopefully) lead on a fully complete ST2 engine.

So a winter rebuild on the Monster might throw up some interesting things, and I will have a spare 900 engine with Hi-comp pistons.

Ok get proper high compression pistons for that ST2 engine and you will love it.
I never went for ST2 as it is water cooled and if I were to go water cooled it would have to be modded 999 engine or 1098 engine.
If you go pipes you go all the way.

Its all about cost, If it all goes to plan the engine will be a part of a complete rebuild, but with a smaller custom double core radiator to reduce the frontal area.

I know hence sticking to my existing lump as I suspect if I were to get ST2 one and start fiddling costs would sky rocket again.............

To be honest I know where the strip down and rebuild are going to lead, lots of cash. I have spent the last 15 years throwing stuff at an M600, and now is the time to strip it down and do it properly so it will last another 15+ years.
