Spent a few minutes looking at the photos and can't decide if I like it or not... over £20k price tag too... some of it strikes me as amazing, other bits strike me as bleurgh... either way it's a striking design!

Its weird but not at all my cuppa tea. Imagine riding it in rain and having to strip it all down to clean it. Very cool but over designed and expensive art creation. Sooner have a Norton and change too.

Oh god yes Norton everytime... But the design is at least intriguing and great to see a British firm coming back on the scene!

It's gonna be exclusive and expensive.

It's also going to be uncomfortable for the knees....and the eyes!!

Power Cruiser and Super naked....Wow.:look:

Nice to see Ariel back with bikes. Where did I put that sharp stick. Afraid it looks more like artistic statement than a useable bike.

Seem to remember the Vee Max had a very muted begining, yet there are a lot of us out there who desire one now, at least I do.....

A massive triumph of style over substance.
I could never fall in love with such a monstrosity.
As with so many modern designs, it is just crammed with as many features as possible which are judged to make it "awesome", when in fact the designers should grow up and realise that less is more and beauty goes so much further than skin deep.
To be perfectly honest, I'd be embarrassed to ride a thing like that.
It aint a bike its a bloody fashion statement on steroids.
Though in fairness, that is probably precisely the intention, in order to appeal to a market with more money than taste, little idea of what motorcycles are about and a huge desire to show off its personal wealth.
Definitely not for me in a million years.

I'd rather spend the £20,000 adding cylinders.

it looks bit like a transformer who got tangled up with the brunel bridge in plymouth, a horrible mess

Had a look at one today at Goodwood I like it but the Ariel square four that was also on the stand was much nicer.

I was thinking along Scrapps lines too, perhaps a revisited square 4 on the Healey varient lines.
This was a 1000 version from the early 70's with an all up wieght about the same as a 250 (similar to a proper Monster) and a fair bit more power than the Ariel original motors (about 52BHP) but with a lot more torqe. The original ariel motors would pull ayway in any gear which was quite exceptional for the time and still is really.
This thing, well its a honda, its just got different running gear. It would be exactly the same of the desmodici used that honda motor, it wouldn't be a ducati really would it.

Yea, and I'd sooner have a DS16 or an MV for that amount of cash, although DS16's seem to fetch nearer £40K

This is what a proper Ariel should look like

It even comes supplied with a free gurning hunchback... what more could you possibly want?

Or a large hand rolled herbal cigarette? Not that I condone smoking whilst in charge of a vehicle :)

rode a square 4 once, a very forgettable experience

saw the ariel at goodwood this weekend, radical and I liked it, but I liked the new hesketh a whole lot more.
