Hi All,

Odd request but always wanted to try clip-ons on a monster but not certain I will or will not like it.

Does anyone have a spare set I could borrow for a week or two so I can test-ride a bike with them fitted?

Me too. After sitting on Jonzis bike I like the position. I cannot find a top yoke by woodcraft other than the one which bolts on top of old bar mounts. I want a completely fresh top look. I have seen a nice one at desmo world but uber money. Best start saving me thinks.

I tried a bike with the Woodcraft raised ones and quite liked it. I have a set of the Rizoma ones that bolt to the top of the old bar mounts to go on to mine. Once it runs....

But I do not want those that go on top of the bar as that is about the same as stock bars and you can adjust those up, down, forward back to make it very much like that style of clip-on.

I want to try bang on to the fork type clip-on ;)

I am thinking that with stock pegs on my 695 it will not be as cool but with extremely up pegs I have on m900 it might make me sit bit like on café racers of old.

SpeedyMoto top triple looks gorgeous, but maybe better value with IMA Special Parts (maybe not listed for your bike, but they probably have them - email to ask)

If you get Woodcrafts, I suggest the taller ones - if too tall, you can slide them down as required.

For ultimate adjustability - Speedymoto omnibars (really just ordinary clip on bars, but with a bend)

When I did some brief measuring up, they come in about 1.5" lower than the standard bars. But not so extreme as straight bolt ons.

Stopintime - Are those Woodcraft clipons in the pic, they look different to the ones I have.

I may have some Speedymoto tall boy clip ons and omnibars for sale soon.

If your clip ons aren't on the top of the bottom yoke you're not trying....

All the cool kids have clip ons on their monsters.:mand:

Mine are 'hi rise' apparantly, I think that just means they're slightly above the clamps. They're about the same level as the top yoke but still comfortable.

I think it's a great mod for these bikes though the hardest bit is fitting all the attached gubbins back into a smaller space and will seriously try your patience doing so.

I have Gilles clip ons on my S4RS. Great on track, horrible for any other riding.

Wrist, back, neck pain. No advantage whatsoever when road riding.

They'll be for sale next month.

The feeling of the front is much more better, especially when you ride fast ! So you always feel it better :mand: And I love the look that gives to the bike

Nice bike Mike. I think there is a big difference between clip ons and clip ons with a small rise. Straight clip ons would be painful, 1-2" rise is comfortable and like you say you get a better feedback from the front.

Thanks Darren69 ;)
Honestly, I did a 2500 kms trip last year in that config and I did not face any real physical issue !

Had them on my Triton and it used to kill me, I was on my late 20's as well......

I'm kinda tempted, but I'm not sure if my physique would thank me. Also, does it have any (adverse?) affect on the handling?

Mine are 3.5" Swatt (discontinued), but same function as Woodcraft.

Yes, they look very similar to the Woodcraft but nicer finish. I'm a bit disappointed by the finish on the Woodcrafts, nothing wrong with the quality of them, I just think them a bit dull (matt black anodised). Don't know if it could be polished without rubbing through anodised layer, but doubt it.

Finally got around to getting the Woodcraft clip-ons fitted the other week and my Style & Performance yoke set. Quite pleased with the results and the riding position is much improve. Still need to tidy up the brake lines as the standard one does not work too well in that position. But I'm going to be upgrading to P4 4 pad calipers over winter so I need to get some new ones anyway.
