I have been persuaded to have another stab at this, as last years attempt was washed out by the weather.

Hope you can join us, preferably on a Monster, but anything goes..:D

Date is Saturday June 14th, Meet at 10.30am At the North Walsham Town clock. (That's at the "in" end of the Market place on the one way system.)

We'll set off no later than 10.40 from there, round the houses to Neatished Radar Museum.

I hope to be able to pick up on the 11.30am Guided tour through the history of Chain home and the Radar defence of Great britain, WW2 and the Cold War....It's actually very compelling....And ...er... real!

We can de-brief over lunch in the Cafe and take it from there.

By all means skip the run if you wish and meet us at the Museum at about 11.15 ish or Vice Versa, come on the run and skip the Museum...Play it how you like. It will be good to see you whatever.

http://www.radarmuseum.co.uk/

I think we can get in for £5 a head as a group, otherwise it's £7....Let's hope for a decent group....:D

You know what, I'm tempted. It's looking like I'm going to have to bale on the tunnel run in London as I need to be back home for a day out Sunday (Original lane as to crash at a friends place after the midnight run). On a bike it's not a bad run down to you guys from here, and I have to admit I'm really interested in it!

Not to be a wuss however, but I'll be coming down in a car if it's chucking down!

Been down to Norwich a good few times for work, its not too bad especially on the bike... If it's a nice day would be a good ride, and given I've got to spend the Sunday walking round the good food show I fancy a good full day on the bike!

Forecast looking good!

Fingers crossed for a nice day...tempted to meet you somewhere along the Coast road LouSElastic.

Not always too good at early starts on a Saturday though..Roughly what time do you think you would be going through Wells?

LouSCannon

Ah now that would take planning... leave it with me for a bit :)

And where did Elastic come from?!

Mr Gazza

LouSElastic....:chuckle::chuckle:...That's your new name...:chuckle::chuckle:

Don't complicate your journey for my sake..Hang loose and do your own thing.
We'll end up waiting for each other somewhere and miss the run.!!

It's no good being in a hurry on that North Norfolk Coast route,. Lots of twisties and little Villages...Just take your time and enjoy it..:mand:

That's a very scenic route you've picked. One of these days I will do the whole thing in one go, from Lynn to Lowestoft...Maybe an idea for a run??

Wifey reports major road works at Kings Lynn today and some new average speed cameras, so look out for those.!

Looking forward to seeing everybody on Saturday.

All polished and pumped for parade tomorrow...Looking forward to being able to see out of my left eye, which has resembled the wrong end of a Baboon all week..:eyepopping:

New discs fitted on Monday and no time to bed them in, so they will be settling in on the run down to intercept LouSCannon at Wells...Not too many muppets about that time in the morning with any luck...Best time for a thromble down the Coast..:D

See you later...

Absolutley fantastic day.... caught a slight showed on the way in near Kings Lynn but soon dried out. Found Gary at the junction in the middle of no where and had a little bimble in to North Walsham (Never seen so many places to buy sea food)!

The sun came out for the ride to the museum with Stu, Steve and co (Forgetting names already, sorry)! The museum itself was superb, interesting and massively eye opening with the cold war room... was worth every mile of the ride down and back.

Sun out all the way on the ride home, took a couple of random detours when I fancied it and found some fantastic roads for the next time I come over :)

The bike is now very dirty and I'm rather tired, just over 300 miles and not a motorway in sight... started to feel slightly achy on the way back but given I'd start to feel slightly achy after 100 miles on the S4Rs the 1200 is an improvement.

Thanks very much to Gary for organising and thanks to you all for your hospitality, the next visit might not be till autumn time, and might very well be in the car with all my camera gear given all the nature reserves! Hope you all enjoyed the day at least half as much as me...

Few pictures below taken on my mini camera...

Just to say thanks to everyone for coming and making it such a brilliant day.

Really pleased you all had a good time.

Thanks for posting the pictures LouSCannon. We made a handsome line up in the Market Place...I think they may have noticed when we left....:chuckle:....Good to ride out with you mate. and the 1200 looks good too.

I wish I had time to see more of the Museum and to have a better chat with you guys.
I guess I was slightly distracted by seeing my old friends Welly and Helen again after 15 years..!!!
Bizarre also that they now live only 9 miles from LouSCannon.

Looking forward to more of the same this Summer...and maybe a spot of Birdwatching later in the year?

Thanks to all for making it such a special day....:mand:...I think Norfolk is back on the map.
