Due to the fact that I might cycle to work (don't laugh), and have less time to ride at the weekends (2 year old daughter making use of all available spare time) I am thinking of selling my bike.
It's a 2004 Monster 620ie (dual front brakes, wind-shield, seat cowl) with ~25,500 miles as I write this. I bought it in 2008 at ~9,000 miles and it has been used every day since for commuting, with the odd weekend blast.
Never had any major issue, it has been well looked after by Rosso Corse and comes with full service history (+ all keys and books).
Done ~3,000 miles since last full service, and oil was changed early ~500 miles ago (while replacing starter motor).
Mods:
- After-market exhausts (similar looking to OEM but lighter & louder)
- K&N air filter
- DP comfort seat
- Pazzo adjustable levers
- Rizoma grips and bar ends
- Mirrors
Repaired/Replaced:
- Rear wheel speedo sensor [2009]
- Footrest hangers (paint flaking) [2009]
- Right hand side engine casing (paint flaking) [2009]
- Chain & front sprocket [2012]
- Electric regulator [2013]
- Starter motor [2013]
Spares:
- Standard exhausts
- Standard foot rest hangers (need stripping & painting)
- Standard seat (two holes in it, to be refurbished)
- New Renthals bars
- De Pretto Moto aluminium mirrors
- Rear paddock stand
- PCIII USB (was fitted by previous owner. Fuelling got messed up at some point and -as I didn't have time/money to get Rosso Corse to sort it out- I asked them to remove it. Marcus didn't say it was f*cked so I think a re-flash is all that's needed.)
Bad points:
- A few "battle scars" from parking in London: scratches here and there and top right corner of wind-shield PVC cracked
- Leans lower than standard while on the side-stand (side-stand probably slightly bent)
- Speedo lens is cracked (was when I bought it, hasn't worsen since)
- Tip of the clutch lever is gone
- Paint starts to show signs of flaking on left hand side engine casing
- Rear tyre close to the legal limit
Bike comes with a custom plate number "xxx DUC", 12 months MOT, 11 months road tax and all the aforementioned extras which you can sell on eBay or whatnot.
Not interested (no time) to break things up so all in I'm looking for £2,200.
