I was wondering has any one got any experience of this seat and would it fit a 2004
M1000 as in the spec it does not include the 1000.

Thanks.

That's a nice seat!

The Sargent website says it is for "Monster 600 / 750 /900 - 2000+"

I think the 1000 seat is going to be the same as all the others? Anyone else know for sure?

I would be tempted to call Sargent if still unsure.

Curse you! ;) I had my eye on that for my 600, although I really shouldn't be spending on bikes for a really long time. Especially after my recent purchase...

I've also still got to get a new pair of master cylinders off Max!

I had a Ducati gel seat on my 1000, very good but a bit hard to find. Not impressed with the Sargent I had on the 900, properly uncomfortable.

While on the subject, don't consider waiting for a Corbin seat on the grounds that it might be more comfortable....they're pretty rock hard.
They do have other advantages like the improved pillion perch, but I'm considering getting mine recovered with some additional padding put in.

A recover of the std seat might be your best option.

Hmmm... I too was opting for comfort, not that I find the standard uncomfortable. But if the Sergent one is more uncomfortable then I would rather have comfort at the expense of looks.
