Another newbie question if I may please!

As I dislike bikes with a double seat (and Lady Goofle hates pillioning on Il Monstro!!) I'm looking towards a seat cowl for the pillion perch.
I presume it's a cover, over the full seat? How does it secure please?

For a M900 its a cowl over the rear seat - two L brackets
each has two bolts on cover, one to seat base

More usually held on with thumbscrews like the one to the left of the photo
