Can anyone see what's wrong with this?

I think I may have to replace this, but I'd welcome your thoughts as I'm not sure.

It was the needle bearing from the starter gear, I wonder if this was contributing to the lack of starting ability???

The sprag spring is fooked as well (but I've got the oil seal that has the right size spring, only to find some one on flea bay is now just selling the springs... :toilet:)

If you're changing the sprag is worth having a look at the big metal ring housing too. They tend to wear down. Re the needle bearing, nah, nothing that can't be reused

Everything else is virtually unmarked, just the sprag spring and this bearing...

Apparently Ducati still make them, just got to wait for one to be delivered from Italy !
