Browsing the bay I found this:

http://pages.ebay.com/motors/link/?nav=item.view&id=281289098095

Seems to my non expert eye to cover a lot of home maintenance options. What do the :ukm: experts think?

I suspect you can get them all for cheaper, eg http://www.machinemart.co.uk/shop/product/details/laser-5340-ducati-clutch-hub-drum-tool
As for the fat goat, it made for a very tidy Friday spice meat dish with red beans and rice.

that looks like most of the specialist tools you would need to pull large parts of the engine to bits and put it back together again

Doesn't sound too bad value wise at £275 imho (at current xchnge rate) , primary gear puller aint cheap on its own. might be worth hunting around but

as Drd says, machine mart do a bunch of 'Laser' brand tools that are good value but some are definitely better than others. some are literally made of plastic so wont stand up to lots of heavy use, but they do work ok for occasional use.
dont know if Laser do so much of the engine side ducati special it tools either.

i have a HDESA shock spanner which is well made fwiw (ok its only a spanner). it looks like severythng there is made of metal

Once you add on import duty and VAT and the post office 'collection' charges it will look like less good value though. And its doubtful you can easily get around these any more, I used to buy loads of stuff from the US but not any more as the hidden import costs may be as much as the item itself.
