Assuming you don't want to spend megabucks, I bought these on recommendation & they are very good. Much grippier & softer. The same seller also has Progrips dual which have a gel insert I believe.

I use Rizoma Sport Line grips (http://www.rizoma.com/universal/grips/gr205-sport-line/en). I find them more comfortable than the stock grips. This is due to the indentation they have which your thumb rests in resulting in a more relaxed thumb position. On long rides with the stock grips I found that my thumb would ache after a while.

The Rizoma Sport Line are not a soft comfy grip. They are aluminium with a thin knobbly rubber covering on the central section. I know that some riders would find them uncomfortable because they are not soft and squidgy, but as I ride with my hands resting on the grips rather than gripping them it doesn't matter to me.

One other thing about the Sport Line grips is that they are slightly shorter (119mm) than the stock grips. To keep everything neat and tidy looking I have cut about 9mm off each end of the handlebars, which hasn't caused any issues and means that I can squeeze through even narrower gaps ;)

I have the pro grips on my Evo and would defo recommend them. They are much more comfier and as they offer much more grip you tend not to hold them as tight which also helps on long rides.

I didn't expect this when I got them but they have also reduced the vibration through the bars to my hands. I don't know if this is just down to the softer compound or a design thing but you won't go wrong with them !!!

Just ordered a pair, £13.99 plus £3.99 postage. I'm suffering a lot at the moment with numb hands and the vibes from my bike, getting to the point where I have to stop every few miles and hold my hands up whilst the blood drains back down.

Will let you know when they arrive and if they work....
