Are these fecked or does it not matter that they are torn in this location?

That's only the dust seal, which shouldn,t affect the operation of the cylinder. Nevertheless, you do need the dust seal to be in good condition.

Whilst I'm usually a 'glass half full' unbridled blind optimist type I'm not sure what it is about them that makes me think they are on the way out, possibly the huge split and the fact they are now in 2 pieces when they were originally in 1? :)

Cheers folks

I bought a radial one instead. I'll get this one fixed up as a spare.

You may need new lines, banjo bolt will be underneath on radial one instead of horizontal like.

That's excellent news, glad you are sorted.

As that's the case I think I'll ask here

Is my sprocket fecked or will it be ok when I bolt it back on the bike? :):):):)

The old one will still fit, you will just have to repostion the angle, did it to mine till I got new ones made, only had new ones done as I wanted black lines :mand:

Teeth look a bit worn... but I've seen worse.

I'd give it another try...

Sprocket will be fine... the chain will hold it on ;)

I might be tempted to give it a bit more security by doing the nut up extra tight and slapping some chewing gum on the broken edges.
As you cannot have failed to notice once chewing gum sets it's almost impossible to remove and even sticks difficult materials like oil based plastics.

Thanks guys, as always sound advice offered by all.

I did have a bit of an issue. The gaffa tape and chewing gum seems to have made the sprocket a bit bigger and the chain no longer fits but I split it and rejoined it with a couple of cable ties so it's all good. I used black cable ties obviously so it's an invisible fix :)
