I've been Monsterless for a few years now after I got rid of my old S4R for a 996 Hodgson Rep and then later for a 1100 Hypermotard.

Always had a hankering for the Monster and have just got my sticky mitts on an S4RS.

I know these posts are useless without pics so here it is!

Great to be back in the saddle again and I'm looking forward to Monstering in the Midlands.

Sounds like a good plan. I went to one several years ago when I had my S4 Challenge. Think it was at the Arrow Mill?

Spike, if you decide to pop along, don't go to Arrow Mill, the venue has changed!

It's a nice bike. Done a few miles but nothing the past couple of years according to the MoT history. It's a pretty standard bike, apart from the Termis. Typical usual stuff, a few fasteners turned to cheese, so I'm going round the bike slowly and will replace with stainless. Engine paint flaking away (next winter project), exhaust needs a damn good polish. I have taken the rear pegs off and after a fight, managed to get the baffles out which has made it sound much deeper now. Fitted a clear DP tank protector and stuck a carbon tax disc holder somewhere, at least that can go in the bin later this year.
I'll be on the look out for some carbon goodies, rad protector, crash bungs etc ;-)
