Last year I part ex'd my beautiful S2R1000 for a new Multistrada 1200. It is undoubtedly a brilliant bike, the most accomplished bike I've owned but I just didn't fall in love.
My family circumstances have also changed (ie there's another ankle biter on the way) so it's time to come back to my 1st love - the Monster.
I've had an original M900 and the S2R. Now it's time for an 1100EVO. Looking forward to the banter.

(PS Did anyone on here buy a 08 S2R with a NI plate from Moto Rapido last year?)

Hey DukeXTC.

Nice to hear your going back to a Monnie. Have to admit that everyone i have spoken too speaks highly of the NumptyStrada. Was there any reason you didn't bond with it. Just curios as its something i would consider if my advancing years no longer permitted me to ride a Monnie

It's a fabulous machine when you're sat on it, but crucially for me, it does nothing for me when I open the garage door or walk up to it.
Call me shallow & vain but I now know that one of the main reasons I buy Ducatis is that they look as good as they sound. Sadly the Multi aint the prettiest and it doesn't sound that good either. But I'm glad I've owned one and who knows I might change my mind before I out her in the classifieds. However, right now I'm lusting after an 1100 EVO with a loud pipe. A proper Ducati.

I feel the same about the MS. Im sure itd be a better bike for long distance travelling, but it doesn't turn me on like my Evo does.

Good choice mate :-)

I came from a 1198s to an EVO1100 with the loud pipes..... cant say I miss the 1198s, and it rivals for beauty.... hang fire for a bit until the 1200 comes out and you will get a cheaper EVO...

Great bike!

No rush but don't want to put too many more miles on the multi strada. I've already lost a small fortune on it😭

There are good couple on ebay, if you can get one with the Termi's, better option as the Race ECU seems to operate better at lower speeds....

Depends on the budget of course, of whether its going on HP
