Shhh don't tell everyone. It's right that people start with other colours and work their way up to yellow :)

Hi Peter,
why have an old M600 when the M696 it`s a better start in terms of safety, service maintanance and relibility? Used starting price from only £3500 and it`s a world of difference !!!!!
I will suggest to test ride one from yur local dealer............... :-)

What is 'safer' about the M696? My M600 costs pennies to service, access to the battery is measured in seconds and has never broken down on me (writing that is tempting fate I know! :) ). It has none of the electronic issues because it has none of the electronics! Not knocking the 696 but I don't think it's worth £1500 more than a 600!

Why have either, when you can have a stunning S2R for £2500 :thumbsup:
Then again I'm biased;)

going to talk to him shortly. did want something I could play about with but this is a lovely bike.
Is 28,000 miles high for the monster or is this fine?
didn't realise he was in London so could take a while to arrange to get down.
anyone know if the ride height is higher than the 600 620?

Hello and welcome.
I was going to suggest that a 750 would be worth considering as they have that little bit extra over the 600s which makes all the difference.
I'm still happy with mine after nearly 7yrs ownership.
..... but I see that you've already spotted Funkatronic's S2R for sale, which amounts to a similar thing.

So what's Matlock like for bikes on sundays/bank holidays these days ?
It used to be impressive in the 70s but I haven't been for years.
Has it outgrown its former charm or is it worth a ride out ?

edit.......ps. I imagine the ride height would be the same for all the older style monsters.
28,000m is high..ish, but shouldn't be a problem as the engines are tough and this will be a well maintained bike which has had, to all intents and purposes, only one proper owner from new.

nearly bought a 750 dark but found out the company was webuyanybike.com and they just buy cheap clean up and sell on at inflated price.
google them, loads of horror stories.

does worry me slightly about the mileage but if the engine and running gear is as mint as the bike then I should be ok.
had a drive down :worried: matlock bath on sunday, pissing it down and there where loads of bikes around. come the nicer weather its chocker block still.

Well done, nice xmas pressie for you! The Termi pipes that go either side look really good imho, well I've seen them on an S4R so I imagine that similar are available for the 2valver?
