Hi everyone

I have booked a novice (first time in track) day at Snetterton with my Duc. Is any of you planning to go?

I went to Snetterton on the 25th Feb this year and I was freezing. Did 1 or 2 sessions and gave up.

Good luck!

(also get some silk under gloves, they will help a lot)

Might be worth modding your tyres as well

Ignore them! :)

I'm sure it will be a beautiful sunny day and you will love it. Just take it easy on cold tyres!!

I used MSV trackdays. I fancied starting going on a track day as I have never done before so Snetterton seemed quite good being a full novice day and with a good straight. It will be cold but I have been riding already this winter, although some technical inner liners are on the list.

There's two straights at Snetterton, you have the Start/Finish 'Senna Straight' and then the back straight 'Bentley' which goes under the bridge into 'Brundle' which I should imagine, when carrying too much speed into you can cut across the grass on the inside of 'Nelson' ~ahem~ I blame 1960's drum brakes!!

Being an old Airfield it will almost certainly be a bit on the chilly side in February so wrap up warm between sessions (take a woolly hat) or you'll feel tense and shivery on track

Thanks Flip for the advice. I was keen for Snetterton on the back of being pretty flat, novice only and also long straight so I can juice up the Duc. I got some liners already and will bring some extra clothing between sessions.

Is it the 300 layout? You'll love it. I do.

But it will be very cold, it always is, so extra layers and flask of warm T :-)

Pretty flat apart from the Bombhole..!! Watch out for that.
Or have they filled it in now?
