left on the sunday night before and arrived home on the thursday night after

probably doing 250 mile per day-ish

thats riding both ways, the vans tend to do it alot quicker

It's about 1000 miles each way, if you actually want to see some of the scenery it's 3-4 days each way

Well thats put an end to visiting the MotoGP at Mugello, I was hoping for the first weekend in June so that we could attend both events on one trip like we did in 2010...:cry:

We'll be taking the van down as usual if anyone is interested in joining us, more details to follow on this. I'm planning to organise a track day to tie up with the event and a few adds-on to make it a bit more than a couple of days.
45 degrees? I'll have some of that, thanks :)

Mmmmmmmmm. Very interesting. would it work to ship bike (pompone) fly down ride around and then fly back with bike transported back??

Yeah, that's exactly the idea. We did this last time and worked just fine..
