The original plan was to take a day of work and head up there in the week, but staff shortages put an end to that. Going up the first Sat and then maybe the second Sat too. See how I feel. I've managed to wangle a free pass, which is nice :-)

Will the early visitors to the show please report on the quality of the promotion girls.

I haven't been for a few years as many of the stands had economised by employing frumps which was a disappointment.

I can see the new bikes in the showrooms.

Will do - they're normally a bunch of mingers compared to Milan (or so I'm told)

I'm going Monday.
I saw one last year that looked like a bag of spanners.
I've only just got over it - so I deliberately won't be looking.
Well... peeping through my fingers.... for research purposes only !

That wasnt the lady at the Nick Saunders stand. just a little bit too much makeup, but all being said, a very pleasant woman :-)

had a brilliant day at the show, almost met Matt but missed him, bumped into Rollo, and a few others which was good

Loved the monster 1200...

Can report that the show is well worth a visit, loads of decent bargains to be had if you're prepared to haggle!

And the new monster is fantasic in the flesh, really really like it. Except where they've put the numberplate!

Didn't bump into anyone from here, but the 1200s seemed very comfortable to sit on.

Show is excellent, had a close up and sit on the new 1200. Will admit that I went with some trepidation as it had crossed my mind that I may have bought my Evo in haste. Can report that while it will no doubt gain loyal fans, I still think I have the prettier bike :-)

Also visited the lovely ladies at Hideout and ordered my Jeans. My small contribution to try and show some very hard working people a bit of support after their nasty break in. Whoever it was, it was well planned, in and out in 10 mins. My guess is the gear wont turn up in the UK, it will be abroad either already or some time soon.

Really sorry about that, bloody phones. I ended up hanging around the Ducati/Yamaha stands for about 25mins.
Loved the new Monster 1200. Really comfy and I look forward to taking one for a spin at the start of next year.

Had a great day there today too. Well worth the trip, spent too much, but managed to have a chat with Scott Redding. I'm unsure about the looks of new monster, it is comfy, will leave final judgement to a test ride. I tried to get some info about the possible scrambler - all I got was 'we are not allowed to talk about that', repeatedly, wouldnt even confirm if it was on the cards.

According to a source, the scrambler will be launched in 2015.

The dealers have already been shown pre-production model at their world meet earlier this year.
