Decided to start a channel on youtube, bought myself all the gear and have just been testing out the camera and mounts today.
No microphone yet, still waiting on a case for it,

Thoughts on viewing angle and quality?

The actual file before uploading is even clearer!.
Its the new gopro 3+
I put the wide angle on medium as this uses 2.7k on the sensor and down scales to 1080p.

Looks good. Although, I'd probably mount to the bike somewhere so there are no chance sightings of the speedo.

Couldn't agree more, keep your speedo or any "Spirited" riding off YouTube.

You never know who's going to be watching!

Top quality footage, engine sound would be a nice addition though!

Nice clear video, I was going to get a bullet cam as they are smaller and neat.

Try not to start or stop near your home.

No sense in masking the obvious, let's be honest a speeding violation is 1 of x road traffic violations in that video lol....

I spend hours trawling YouTube for monster ride cams, think its a great idea (under an alias) Just need a camera now and summer.:banghead:

Me thinks a trip to the shops is on the cards... Like the fact that it's controllable wireless with the app also and on that subject can anyone reccomend a decent mount for a galaxy phone.

I used one of these mounts for my iPhone, they also do cases for pretty much every other smart phone. Really simple to wire in and fit. It's kept my phone dry and charged through some pretty hideous weather.

Haha. Good point there... If you fix it to the bike then the sky, road, sky, road combo might give away the wheelies whereas a headcam may offset some of the movement ;)

Managed to keep the speedo out of the frame and also wheelies are a little bit ambiguous so not too worried.

Lots of videos now, think im gonna slow down a bit and start being more quality focused with more interesting rides.
