Not impossible, but at 600 quid and potentially already going on another trip in March, not particularly likely.

European track jaunts are a bit out of my league at present. Think I would prefer to concentrate on UK venues with the vfr in 2014, but a session somewhere like Spain next winter isn't completely out of the question

I have just come back from a trip with Farside Sportsbiking where we spent two days on Track at Albacete Spain. It was my first proper track day and unlike most others on the trip only had my road bike DuNati! Having said that although most everyone else there where serious track dayers they really looked out for me and by day two thanks to the generosity of everyone DuNati and I where whizzing around the track.

Farside promote safety first and foremost and in the two days we only had one major tumble which is a far cry from other track days I have done when a lot of time is wasted because of accidents.

I was so impressed with the organisation, quality of riding and care and consideration of all the riders that I can't wait to go again next year.

Ok change of plans for just booked Valencia with no limits in May 2014. However they have Aragon before also which is tempting.

I think the consensus is to go back to Cartagena again.

I would like to go else where, but my laptimer said that my optimum lap could be a 1:50. so going back and getting that would be good too.

Decisions decisions

Portimao is awesome, nearly every corner is blind, elevation changes, long straight great track great fun

I have booked Valencia in May with No Limits, May 5,6,7

Funkatronic
20-11-2013, 03:23 PM
portimao is truely awesome, early april can be very wet though (but equally i have been therer in march and its its 30 degrees!!) , the may one is better option imho

based on recent visit its very bumpy these days and needs resurfacing (hence why its a lot cheaper than it used to be)

valencia & brno i'm likely to do for sure (although might do brno with a german trackday firm called Acton Bike)

never done misano and it looks very tempting, never done lemans either and thats not too pricey and drivable from uk

I might book the Aragon / Valencia trip with NL.

3 days in each with a days break. Hopefully nothing will break, on me or the bike.

Funkatronic
20-11-2013, 07:23 PM
you know it makes sense :-)

how did you get on with the trumpet?

jonzi
20-11-2013, 07:35 PM
It was awesome!

Need to sort the gearing out. Getting up to only 4th on the main straight at Cartagena.

The day with Crafer made a lot of difference too. And now I just need to stay on the gas later and let go of the brakes sooner.

How hard can it all be?

Are you going to to the Aragon / Valencia trip?

jonzi
24-11-2013, 03:24 PM

They are half price, also means you can go out and pin it from the pits, and it makes one look more stylish in the garages (most important part)

Right going to work on the missus to give the green light for Aragon also, and do Aragon then Valencia, however I am all booked up for Valencia flights and car hire etc, sometimes being to organised for my own good. So the drive from Valencia to Aragon is three hours so I can just change the outbound flight??? She has brought Valencia as a present so If I buy Aragon I still only pay for one euro track day a year. Well that's my reasoning. Watch this space.

I'm considering Le Mans in late August of early sept. Two days for £259 but would need to ride over and get a B&b.

Trying to rope a mate into it but anyone here fancy it as well?
