Hi all, I will be storing my 2001 Monster in a garage over winter and I'm looking for a paddock stand so it doesn't rest on the side stand the whole time. Anyone got any experience on which ones work best with Monsters? Or any tips/advise on usage etc. ???

I'm off to have a look through the winter maintenance thread, there must be one on here, to get tips on battery charging and such like.

Thanks in advance for your help with the paddock stand suggestions!

Just get a cheap one, as you're not going racing/tracking/using it every day it would be a waste of money to go for the all singing and dancing stuff..you will need one with the swingarm brackets rather than hooks. Only advice is if you're not familiar always get a pair of extra hands when putting it on.

That's so lame compared to your 'how to unstick a clutch' advice! I was expecting something along the lines of 'Tie stand to back of bike with a 6ft piece of rope, get up to 30mph, slam on the front brake, do an endo and let it drop onto the stand!' :)

I need a paddock stand for my 1100 evo and am struggling to decide whether to get a single sided paddock stand or an Abba stand. It will only be used in winter too. Any help will be great!!

Where is the winter maintenance thread?

Maybe we should start a thread where everyone can give their top tip for storing your bike through the winter............if this hasn't already been done. Sorry quite new to this !!!
